What delights your senses? Beside the seasonal possibilities, there are many things that delight my senses. I’m sure you’ll resonate with many I name but I hope you will add to the list.
- Smells—lilacs wafting their sweet fragrance, fires burning, pies baking, candles flickering, cinnamon scenting the air
- Sounds—wind blowing, leaves rustling, snow hushing the earth, babies breathing, children laughing, conversations intense and intimate
- Savories—because the list is long I’ll limit myself to this season—mixed nuts, apple cider, homemade soup, warm bread, breakfast muffins, caramel apples, pumpkin everything (except coffee), peppermint bark (including coffee)
- Sights—early bulbs pushing up from the earth, the first robin pecking, deer grazing, leaves changing, snow falling, families loving, people praying, steeples dotting the landscape, nature proclaiming the existence of God
